Want to maximize your coffee/espresso's water tank filter and maximize your money? Here is a very simple analog system to track it.

And I'd recommend taking the tank out the back and cleaning it with soapy water and the filter (with water only) regularly!

*AUG 2022 UPDATE* Finally changed my filter! Lasted Feb-Aug. It's lasted 7 months! More than 50% more than the suggested 3 months with my usage of 1-2 espressos a day + cleaning! Based on a commenter's suggestion: There is still 500-600ml of water in the tank when it's at the min line - if the tank capacity full is in fact 2.5L. I could in fact refill 40L/2L then refilling at the min line so I'd have 20 square total not 16!
