You're looking for a coffee scale, you realize they are pretty pricey. You need to tare, some basic unit options, and more importantly, a timer. You realize, wow they are getting outside of my budget, maybe I'll have to compromise. Or will you? This coffee scale is only 30$ USD, 40$ CAD and has lots of features, various program modes. So is it good? Should you get it? Is it worth it? Find out! The battery life on this thing is amazing too, see notes below.

"Hack"
If you're making an espresso (or moving it and wanting to turn it off at the same time), a little shortcut I found was when removing it from the drip tray to clean out the portafilter after a shot, I hold it from the power button side so as I'm picking it up to move, holding it, I'm actually turning it off! 2 in 1!

UPDATE AUG 2022: battery life in between charge on this scale is amazing! I barely have to charge, it could be that I set it to auto shut off after 180s + I manually shut it off after use combined but either way I'm impressed and happy. I feel I have to charge this maybe 2-3x a year for my use.

UPDATE JAN 2023: about 6 months since I charged from low in Aug 2022, still on the same battery charge!
